Task 1

The diagram below shows how recycled glass bottles are made.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

Used bottles are collected from homes and bins.
↓
The glass is sorted by colour.
↓
It is washed and crushed into small pieces.
↓
The pieces are melted in a furnace.
↓
The liquid glass is poured into moulds.
↓
New bottles are cooled and checked.
↓
The bottles are sent to shops and factories.

40 minutes · at least 250 words

Task 2

Some people think that laws can change the way people behave, while others believe that education is more effective.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Write at least 250 words.
